Open House Taipei

Open City London is a charity dedicated to making architecture and neighborhoods more open, accessible and equitable. Each year, they host the Open House Festival in cities around the world, empowering communities and local businesses to exhibit and learn about buildings and neighborhoods which matter to them; the Open House Festivals are accessible volunteer-led public celebrations encouraging audiences to explore new places. This year, les enphants textile is thrilled to be a part of Open House Taipei.

From November 12-13, we will open our in-house textile gallery space - the Christi Lan Lin Collection of Chinese Children’s Textiles - to the public. Come and learn about the handmade children’s textiles that inspire les enphants designers and listen to the stories that help guide each season’s unique prints.

As of 11/7/2022 pre-registration through Open House Taipei has closed, but walk-ins on both days are welcome! Please be reminded that guided tours of the gallery space start on the hour from 11:00-17:00, with a break between 12:00-13:00. Light meals, coffee, and tea will be available for purchase at the les enphants cafe.

Beginner’s stitch workshop

In addition to touring the les enphants textile gallery space, we invite you to sit down to a beginner’s stitch workshop, where a les enphants designer will guide you through basic embroidery stitches. Experience the joy of slowing down, of making something with your hands, of understanding the art of hand stitching. Cost of workshop includes instruction and stitch kit.
